Delete Your JustThen Account & Data

This page explains how to delete your JustThen account and the personal data associated with it. Last updated 15 August 2026.

You can delete your JustThen account at any time, either directly in the app or by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your profile, photos, voice notes, letters, matches, and messages from the Service, subject to the limited retention exceptions described below and in our Privacy Policy.

Option 1 — Delete your account in the app (recommended)

Open the JustThen app and go to your Profile.
Open Settings, then choose Account.
Tap Delete Account.
Confirm the deletion. Your profile is immediately hidden from other users.

Option 2 — Submit a deletion request

If you can no longer access the app (for example, you lost your device or uninstalled the app), fill in this form. It prepares a deletion request email in your mail app — send it from the email address registered to your JustThen account so we can verify it’s really you. We aim to respond to all deletion requests within 7 days.

I understand my account will be hidden immediately and permanently deleted after the 28-day restore window, and that this cannot be undone after that.

Your mail app should now open with the request ready — press send from your registered email to complete it. If nothing opened, email us directly at support@justthen.app with the subject “Account Deletion Request”.

What happens when you delete your account

Immediately: your profile is no longer visible to anyone in the app.
For up to 28 days: your account can still be restored, in case it was deleted accidentally. If you log back in during this period, you can choose to reactivate it.
After 28 days: we begin permanently deleting your personal data from our systems — including your profile information, photos, voice notes, letters, matches, and messages.

Data we may retain, and for how long

As described in our Privacy Policy, we retain limited data after account deletion only where necessary:

Purchase and transaction records — kept for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes, for as long as applicable law requires.
Safety and moderation records — for example, if an account was blocked for unsafe behaviour, we keep a record of the account and the behaviour that led to the block, to prevent banned users from returning and for evidential purposes. Records of communications with customer support (including complaints) are kept for 6 years after account deletion.
Photo verification scans — retained per the biometric retention policy in our Privacy Policy (at most three years after your last interaction with us), then permanently deleted.
Legal holds — data relevant to an outstanding issue, claim, or dispute, retained until the matter is resolved.

Deleting some data without deleting your account

You don’t have to delete your whole account to remove specific content. In the app you can, at any time:

remove or replace profile photos;
delete or re-record your voice note;
edit or remove optional profile details (bio, badges, preferences); and
unmatch a user, which ends the conversation with them.

Note: deleting the JustThen app from your phone does not delete your account or your data. Please use one of the two options above.
