JustThen Terms & Conditions of Use

Welcome to JustThen! These Terms and Conditions of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the JustThen mobile application (“App”), our websites (such as justthen.app) and related services (together, the “Service”), operated by the JustThen Group (“JustThen”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Please read them carefully, and read them together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating a JustThen account or using the Service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not create an account or use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time (see section 15).

2. Eligibility

To create an account and use the Service, you must:

• be at least 18 years old;
• be legally able to form a binding contract with JustThen;
• not be prohibited from using the Service under the laws of your country;
• never have been convicted of, or pleaded no contest to, a felony or indictable offence (or a crime of similar severity), a sex crime, or any crime involving violence or a threat of violence, and not be required to register as a sex offender with any government registry; and
• comply with these Terms and all applicable laws while using the Service.

3. Your Account

• You agree to provide accurate, current information when creating your account, including during verification, and to keep it up to date.
• You may create only one account, for your personal use, and you may not authorise others to use it.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs on your account. If you believe someone has accessed your account, contact us immediately at support@justthen.app.

4. Community Rules

JustThen is built on respect. While using the Service, you agree that you will not:

• misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliations, or impersonate any person;
• harass, stalk, intimidate, bully, or defame anyone, or send abusive or sexually explicit content to another User without their consent;
• solicit money or other things of value from other Users, or use the Service to commit or promote fraud of any kind (including romance scams);
• post content that is hateful, threatening, obscene, pornographic, or that incites violence, or content that contains nudity or graphic violence;
• post or share any content involving minors, or use the Service if you are under 18;
• use the Service for commercial purposes, advertising, or solicitation without our written consent;
• spam, scrape, or harvest data from the Service, or use bots, scripts, or other automated means to access it;
• reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or create derivative works of the App;
• upload viruses or other malicious code, or otherwise compromise the security of the Service; or
• infringe any third party’s rights, including intellectual property and privacy rights.

We use a combination of automated systems and human moderators to review accounts, profiles, photos, voice notes, and messages for content that indicates breaches of these Terms. We may issue warnings, restrict features, remove content, or suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. If you believe we made a mistake, you can contest a decision by contacting support@justthen.app. You can report other Users at any time using the in-app Report tools.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create and share on the Service — including your photos, voice notes, letters, and messages (“Your Content”). By posting Your Content, you grant JustThen a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable licence to host, store, use, display, reproduce, adapt, and distribute Your Content for the purposes of operating, developing, and providing the Service (for example, showing your profile — including your photos and voice note — to other Users). This licence ends when Your Content is deleted from our systems in accordance with our Privacy Policy, except where retention is required by law.

You represent that you have all rights necessary to post Your Content and that it does not violate these Terms or any law. We may remove any content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms.

6. Safety and Interactions With Other Users

• Always use your best judgment when communicating with or meeting other Users. Meet in public places, tell a friend where you are going, and never feel pressured to share personal or financial information.
• Never send money to anyone you meet on the Service, and report anyone who asks.
• Features such as Vibe Check are designed so that nothing is revealed unless both participants choose to — but you remain responsible for what you choose to share on a call.

7. Premium Services, Payments and Virtual Items

• JustThen offers paid premium services (such as subscriptions) and consumable features (such as Superlikes). Purchases made through Google Play or the Apple App Store are processed by those platforms and are subject to their billing terms; manage or cancel subscriptions through your store account settings.
• Unless cancelled, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price.
• Refunds are handled in accordance with the applicable platform’s policy and your statutory rights under local law. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable statutory refund rights you may have.
• Virtual items are licensed to you, not sold. They have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are forfeited when your account is closed, except where prohibited by applicable law.
• We may change our prices and the features included in our premium services; changes will not apply retroactively to periods you have already paid for.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services, and may allow you to connect third-party accounts (such as Facebook, Instagram, or Spotify). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party websites, services, or content. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks (excluding Your Content and other Users’ content), is owned by or licensed to JustThen and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not use the JustThen name or logos without our prior written consent.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JustThen disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that you will find a match, that any User is who they claim to be, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JustThen will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service — including the conduct of other Users, whether online or offline. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JustThen’s total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to JustThen in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you; nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JustThen and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time — see our Data Deletion page for instructions. We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 14) will survive.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kerala, India — except where the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise, in which case those laws and forums remain available to you. We encourage you to contact us first at support@justthen.app so we can try to resolve any issue informally.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available at justthen.app/terms.html. If a change is material, we will notify you — for example, via the email associated with your account or a notice within the App — before it takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
